Tonight, I Conceive With My Mother. (First) (Motion Comic Version) Download

A motion comic (or animated comic) is a grade of animation combining elements of print comic books and animation. Individual panels are expanded into a full shot while sound furnishings, vox acting, and animation are added to the original artwork. Text boxes, speech bubbles and the onomatopoeia are typically removed to feature more of the original artwork being animated. Motion comics are frequently released as short serials roofing a story arc of a long running series or animating a single release of a graphic novel. Unmarried release problems of a story arc are converted into x- to xx-minute-long episodes depending on content.

The concept was fully outlined in the mid-1960s past science fiction author Philip K. Examples from other companies include Peanuts Motion Comics, Zits Motion Comics, the Dead Infinite prequel comics and the "Lucy" element of the ABC News documentary Globe 2100.[vii]

Another example would be a four-part motion comic based on the Uncharted video game series equally a prequel called Eye of Indra, released for the PlayStation Network.

Illustrated films [edit]

A sibling format to movement comics called illustrated films was developed past transmedia studio HALO viii Entertainment with their Godkiller, which was produced at the same time as (only separately from) the Watchmen motion comic. Equally opposed to repurposing an existing comic book, Halo-8 created new sequential art that was designed from its inception to be transmedia fine art for both a comic book and an illustrated pic. Godkiller creator Matt Pizzolo told Encarmine Disgusting that "Godkiller was merely a slower production than Watchmen considering we had to create 200 pages of fine art and story from the footing upwards first, rather than starting with one of the greatest comic books always fabricated equally source material. Plus we had a dozen voice performers instead of just one".[eight]

Although aesthetically like to motion comics, Pizzolo identifies illustrated movie influences every bit including Liquid Television, the MTV drawing adaptation of The Maxx, the Berserk anime series, Chris Marker's La jetée, the motion comic Cleaved Saints, and the experimental cinema of Ralph Bakshi.[9] [10]

Reception [edit]

Reception to motion comics has been mixed.

NewTeeVee commented: "This first generation [of motion comics] is absolutely crude, but there is enough 'move' in these motion comics to keep the viewer's attention, and then far the music and voice acting take been bully. Plus, the level of experimentation and sophistication volition grow as more are produced".[17]

Comparison to visual novels [edit]

The visual novel, a form of interactive fiction largely created in Japan (and too constituting the majority of PC games sold in the land), makes similar usage of animated transitions betwixt still graphic images for narrative purposes.
